<p>　日本に帰国してかかりつけ医を訪れた。<br &sol;>&NewLine;　昨年から悩まされている糖尿や高血圧などの定期チェックというか、体調の状況について現状を把握するための訪問である。<br &sol;>&NewLine;　そしてその結果としては、薬が効いているのか幸いにして非常に体調面は落ち着いており、今後が不安になるような状況ではなかった。<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>　これで当面は一安心である。<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>　ところでその時このかかりつけ医から、私の両親のことを伝えられた。<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>　実は、私と両親は同じかかりつけ医の医師にかかっている。<br &sol;>&NewLine;　まあ順番から言えば、両親のかかりつけ医に私が乗ったのだが、そこの病院とは先代の院長からお世話になっており、親子ともどもその病院には長くお世話になっている。<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>　今回その当代の院長から両親の話をされた。<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>　院長によると、私の父親は一昨年に母親の具合が悪くなって介護が必要になってから人が変わったように真面目になったというのである。<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>　以前は、父親が病院で診察を受けて薬を出しても真面目に飲んでいるのかどうかわからないほど適当だったらしい。<br &sol;>&NewLine;それが母親の介護をするようになってからは「自分が倒れたら女房の面倒を見てあげる人がいなくなってしまう」とばかりに、真面目に定期的に診察を受け、高血圧などの薬もしっかり飲むようになり、そのおかげで本人の各検査値も非常に安定しているとのこと。<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>　そして当然のことながら母親への介護を尽くしており、病院の看護婦さんも含めてその変わりようを褒めていたのである。<br &sol;>&NewLine;　思い起こせば父親が長年の喫煙習慣をきっぱりと絶って禁煙を続けたのも副流煙により周囲の人の健康を脅かすと知ってからだと聞いたことがある。<br &sol;>&NewLine;　そのくらい父親は母親の健康に対して真面目に向き合ってきている。<&sol;p>&NewLine;<div id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;11245" style&equals;"width&colon;
